Egg Custard Pie. I made a recipe of this because this is the favorite of the family as a dessert. No doubt because it’s really delicious, satisfying everyone’s sweet tooth and it’s also very easy to make. 🙂
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cup fresh milk or evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups condensed/sweetened milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg or grated lemon skin
pinch of salt
1 unbaked deep dish pie crust
1) In a large bowl, combine the eggs, fresh milk, condensed milk, vanilla, ground nutmeg, and salt and mixed thoroughly.
2) Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
3) Pour the mixture into the pie crust and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the outer layer of the pie turns to light brown. To make sure that the pie is completely cooked, get a knife or stick and prick it quickly at the center of the pie and if the knife/stick comes out clean, then it means that the pie is cooked.
4) Allow the egg custard pie to cool and ready to serve. Others want it to be cool so you can also chill it for 2-3 hours. Ready to serve!. Enjoy! 🙂
