Bulalo Filipino Recipe

Bulalo Filipino Recipe is a comfort food for Pinoys. Since this dish is high in cholesterol, this should not be eaten regularly hehe!

As they say, “masarap ang bawal”, this applies to those who have hypertension or heart problem, they should not eat this dish often or if they try to eat it, they should only have small portion of it, just to satisfy their craving. But this is really an extremely sumptuous food that’s why I include it in my “comfort foods list”.

Ingredients:

1 paa ng baka (mga mahigit isang kilo, cut into 2 inches)
Petsay
2 kutsarang patis
3 kutsarang asin
Konting vetsin
2 katamtamang laki ng sibuyas
5 siling pasayan
1 kutsaritang paminta
1 ½ litrong tubig (o mas marami para mapalambot ang karne)

Procedure:

1) Pakuluan ang nahiwa-hiwang paa ng baka hanggang sa magkaroon ng katamtamang lumambot.
2) Habang pinapalambot, ilagay ang patis, vetsin at sibuyas para humalo sa lasa ng sabaw ang mga ito.
3) Pag lumambot na, ihalo ang asin, siling pasayan at petsay. Timplahin ayon sa kagustuhang timpla.
4) Nakahanda nang ihain. Ihain ito nang mainit na may kasamang steamed rice. Enjoy! 🙂

• Variation: Pwede ring lagyan ng murang sampalok o kamatis kung nais ng maasim.
